As a global provider of secure logistics for high-value goods, we recognise that long-term resilience depends on responsible environmental stewardship, strong social practices, and robust governance. For Malca-Amit, sustainability is a core part of how we protect and safeguard value, and operate responsibly in a sector defined by trust.
That means transitioning our global fleet to electric and hybrid vehicles, investing in renewable energy and lower-carbon fuels, applying a 5R approach to waste and packaging, and building a people-first culture across our 1,326-strong team. All of it guided by clear governance and accountability, from our Global Sustainability Manager down to local GoGreen champions at every location.
We're still early in this journey, and clear-eyed about how much further there is to go. The direction is consistent, and the progress is measurable.

2020
Environmental Policy formalised, and Carbon Footprint Reports launched, showing the CO₂ emissions of every shipment.
2024
First Global Sustainability Manager appointed and the GoGreen programme established, with champions at every location.
2025
First Materiality Assessment, a Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon baseline, and ESG Accounting Leads embedded across the network.
2026
Ahead: first group EcoVadis assessment, Scope 1/2/3 targets, faster fleet transition, first global wellbeing survey.

Not every location moves at the same pace, but across our network the direction is consistent.
Fleet
Electric & hybrid vehicles
Introduced across Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Geneva, London, Bangkok, Dallas and more, with hybrid adoption expanding further.
Fuel
Lower-carbon alternatives
HVO renewable diesel in the UK, used by the majority of vehicles there, and biodiesel blends in Geneva.
Energy
Renewable electricity
100% wind power in the Netherlands; solar panels at New York, UK and Milan facilities; 100% renewable energy in Antwerp, Cologne and London.
Waste
The 5R hierarchy
Refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle. From returnable wooden crates in Hong Kong to carton reuse systems in Shanghai.
Packaging
Rethinking our distribution bags
We're exploring more sustainable alternatives to our current distribution bags, looking at materials and designs that reduce single-use plastic.
Certification
ISO 14001 & EcoVadis
Malca-Amit Panyu achieved ISO 14001 environmental management certification and a Bronze medal in its first EcoVadis assessment in 2025.
Transparency
Carbon Footprint Reports
Since 2020, clients can see the CO₂ emissions associated with their own shipments, helping inform greener decisions.
Office
Everyday choices
Paperless invoicing, LED lighting, reusable cups and cutlery, and load-planning discipline in hubs like Hong Kong to cut avoidable trips.
