Working in a small team to provide outstanding customer service as well as processing domestic and international shipments.
• Receiving and processing shipment bookings from customers.
• Effectively liaising with our internal Operations department.
• Liaising with subcontractors.
• Managing a high volume of emails and phone calls.
• Physically handling and preparing shipments for dispatch.
• Handling and distributing letters and cheques.
• Identifying and assessing customers’ needs to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Providing customer service in person.
• Actively communicating with customers to ensure they are made aware of any delays or issues with shipments.
• Covering for team members during absence and encouraging team work.
• Proactively recommend improvements, which contribute to improved customer service and team effectiveness.
• Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular).
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Right to work in the UK.
This role requires references to be provided for the last 5 years as well as a successful DBS check
